Dark and Fragrant

Post by leafmould »

8-) This is a cross between a large fragrant flowering hybrid with dark two tone petals on a hot gold plant x 'Fuchsia Dream', I have been working on getting more red in fragrant flowers. These leaves are very unusual for me. I am hopeful its a sign of something different, Taken today,

Seriously! That is awesome! BTW, pearlecent isn't a word (I looked it up), but it should be!

You might find the word if you spelled it "pearlescent", Charla.

No flowers yet, Leafy?

That's darker than any of Mary Chastain's, I think. Looks great!

I can't say it's darker than any of mary's plants but it is definately a different green, very intense true green. love it..... now we need to get a margin on it, pure white. would be lovely.... do 'we' know what the flowers look like yet?

You can leave the pure white margin off, Mr. LM - I'm just fine with it being an incredibly dark shiny green.

Well, viktoria, I did spell it that way cuz I thought it was a word!! But I couldn't find it spelled that way in my dictionary, (???) so I thought it was something I had just made up! :-? I had looked it up in the dictionary to be sure I had the correct spelling to tell Leafy, but didn't find it...? This dictionary is about 20 years old so maybe it's a newer word???? :-? I'm really curious now!!!! Hmmmm!!!!

What a great leaf :D. I'm a sucker for a lance shaped leaf, and I love the shiny dark forest green. That is unique. I think I prefer it without a contrasting edge. Less is more sometimes.

Thanks for the hosta shot in the arm.
