my babies

Post by eastwood2007 »

Here are updated pics of my babies. They are about 6 weeks old in these pics I took today. For size reference, they are in 36 cell tray in a 1' x2' seed flat. Sorry about the quality. Also, the color doesn't show as well...the streaked ones are very dark green and bright gold. I think they are pretty, but what else would one expect from a parent?

Did any of you sell seeds on ebay the last few months? If so, these may be your grandchildren!

Thanks for lookin'!!!

Green goop

Looking good, Charla. You might want to try a couple of drops of liquid dishwashing soap in a gallon of your water/fertilizer. It helps reduce algae. That was suggested by Mary Chastain at Hosta College in one of her classes about five or six years ago.

I had forgotten about it with the first waterings, and of course got algae. None since I remembered.

Thanks y'all! George, I did put a little dw soap in the water not last watering, but the one before. It seems to have stopped growth, but not completely. Maybe I didn't use enough? I would like to be rid of that algae...should I use it each time? All suggestions welcome...about anything. :D

Algae

2-3 drops go in the gallon milk jug each time, as does 1 teaspoon 20-20-20, which is 1/3 strength.
