I just did a quick google search - found Pleasant Run Nursery but no hosta of that name on their list. Nothing at any of the places I usually ck either.
I found it at the Triple Oaks Nursery & Herb Garden in southern New Jersey. It's owner is a well known garden writer in our area. Can't seem to find this particualr hosta mentioned anywherer else.
An alien hosta? Hard to imagine that someone would market something that isn't even in the hosta library.
Does it look like some sport of Krossa Regal or something? Or has someone come up with a new (although still rather cumbersome) name for an old standard like ventricosa aureomarginata?
Well, mnc, maybe you could get this nursery to donate one to your research project? I wonder how many specimens you might have to analyze in order to come up with a definitive answer.....hmmmm.
