New Striptease Sport?

Post by eastwood2007 »

I went to get my 'Stitch In Time' from Rob Mortko at Made in the Shade Gardens (there are pics of it in the next post)and look what I found! :o It is a second year TC of Striptease. Could it be a new sport? I thought it was really pretty! :D

Here is my baby 'Stitch In Time'. As it gets older, the green center gets really dark and the outside gets really bright chartreuse... :D

I have it in my greenhouse...if that's what you mean! :D :D :D

It is hard to tell from the angle of the pic, but there are actually 3 different eyes, each one doing its own thing! :o :D :D

Nice Haul

That Striptease sport reminds me of the streaked version I have called Peepshow.. It's from Scott Crabb and he's a member here at the forum.. Mine does some weird leaf coloring per year and always have a few streaked eyes also. I'll try and remember to snap a photo of it again this year.. Still whatever that hosta you have is similar to, it's still a awesome find...

Charla,
That ST sport is awesome, I have one as well the past prob 4 yrs now, the streaking has been getting heavier each yr. There's a pic on my site of it on the seedling/sports page.
Hopefully yours stays that way, I like the look of it.

I just got email notification that my Stitch in Time in on it's way from Rob :P ....I'm so excited to see them. Not very often I spend much on a single plant, but couldn't hold back on this beauty.
Thanks for posting your gems Charla :)

Rachel, thanks for your encouraging words...I hope my new streaky stays/gets streakier as time goes, too. It's colors are really beautiful.

Rob's Sticth In Times all looked great...I am excited you are getting one. They look so much better in real life, even, than they do in pics. Rob says it is a good grower, too. I got to see it even before he put it into TC and I have had SIT envy since then! :o There really isn't anything else like it, that I have seen. I went up to get it Saturday, which was his opening day, even with 2" of snow we had! :o I just couldn't wait any longer!
