Yes, fingers definately crossed here. We have had tons of rain since yesterday. When I got home from work this evening, I noted that Golden Tiara had grown about 2" since I last looked on Monday!! No stopping them now.

Great First Frost pic! :P

maybe the white centered, blue edged sport could be named 'Last Frost' :D

Nice pic! Beautiful hosta! Someone told me it was very much the same as "El Nino" which I already have. What do you all think? :-?

So pretty! But I'm not as sure as you are about the last frost thing. I keep expecting one more since more and more of my hostas are popping up now and some are unfurling. I'll just keep my fingers crossed. :???:

That one sure has a good start this spring!! :P It's a beauty!!

Charla - First Frost is similar to El Nino in the coloring it ends up with. El Nino is always blue & creamy white while First Frost has the yellow margins to begin with & then changes later. Get one & you can compare the differences yourself. And you can get Sleeping Beauty [another margined Halcyon sport] too & compare the 3. Purely for scientific purposes of course.
GO HAWKEYES!!!

I was banned from the junior high science fair - something about my lab partner and experiments in cross-pollination...
