I noticed yesterday that mine was one of the brightest of the early golds, but it's a soft gold - not a brassy one like Hadspen Samphire or Ophir. It's starting to unfurl nicely so I need to get a pic of it again.

Here's what my Dawn's Early Light looked like a little earlier this morning. A nice cloudy day here after a few raindrops - great for taking hosta pics!! :P

It won't be long, WZBT. :P

Pia ~ Pia ~ Pia ~ I don't know what to tell you.....except what you already know: that your postage stamp sized yard will only hold so many. I spose I could suggest the shopping cart garden again  , but then you didn't think too much of my ingenuous idea 3-4 years ago so I'm guessing it's probly not gonna fly now either... :???:

[But keep in mind the this one's early spring coloring changes to chartreuse by summer.]

Had to take a deep breath and go wash my dirthy firgers befoire answering this one ......

The grosery would complain about me filling out their entrance... so I was even harder than you sugested... I cut down 20 or so big hostas to less than half size last year and let 10 or so leave the garden.. I haven't regret it..
I have room for new ones

At least for this year

Okay.. a little hug for you

Yes I also think it is the brightest one when I look out the window at my hosta bed. Here is mine from tonight. It was a little windy when I took this and I haven't got this part weeded yet. Those companion plants with the yellow flowers look good until I can get them dug out!! :(

DEL is easily the brightest in my garden too. Before the wind picks up, I wanted to shoot some pics this morning. So, here's my 'Dawn's Early Light' in dawn's early light. :P

Looks wonderful, mine has some growing up to do. I will have to have a talk with it.
Aren't pictures a great way to share with others the different stages of our hosta's and how they do change year to year as they mature.
Thanks,
Sue

I love Dawn's Early Light. All the pictures are beautiful. I need to move that one up on my must have list. I do love yellow and the ruffled edge!
