spring pics, older seedlings and others

Post by Justaysam »

A few things I have been waiting to see what they would be like this year. Some are 3yr seedlings, some odd stuff and 2 shots of poor Sagae, my biggest clump I got from Mary Ann. I was really hopeing it would be a show stopper this season :x , maybe next year.

Last ones. Poor Sagae frost damaged. Front looks ok, but oh that poor back may never recover this season. And Majic Fire, which may even look better than Sagae this year. It was added last season, so it is it's second year here.

Love the 2.one and your wavy seedlings and your Sagae .. think it will be beautiful next year.. waited 5 years for it to just start and had to bye 2 new ones to tell it it would be replaced if it didn't grow.. it slowly started

Your seedlings sure look like they're doing well, Linda. :P I don't have any of those. Looks like you need to do some dividing on a couple of your sports. Sorry about your Sagae. Mine got zapped too except for a couple of eyes, but I have new growth coming on from the rest now so we'll see how it does. Don't give up on yours yet!!

Is Magic Fire normally that 'twisted'. :hmm: If it is, I guess I've never seen a good pic of one before. 8-)

You know Reldon, I have no idea, LOL. I just put it in last year, and it looked like crap all season. I saw a pic of a more mature one on Hostapix, and it didn't look twisted at all. Mine is just unfurling, maybe it will straighten up.

Nice seedlings! I love those first two.
Poor Sagae...I have dozens that look like that. It's so sad....

No history Jeroen, I never kept track of what I crossed with what then. Even now, I only keep track of the pod parent. I know, it is a bad practice, but I just do too much record keeping in the everyday, real world. I just cross and grow seeds for fun, and the record keeping would be taking the fun out for me. I'm not a serious hybridizer, just a mad scientist hobbist :P .

They are all nice, but I love that seedling #2 also - whew! What a looker!

Sorry about your Sagae, maybe a little extra water and a handful of alfalfa?

terrific looking babies though.....
