Who's Your Momma?
Ok I recieved this lovely seedling cross of Longimosa x Ryans Big One (as it was marked) in a secret trade a few yrs ago from a fellow Canadian here on the forum. However my notes are gone and I'm thinking it was from either Cheryl or Lynn ? I would like to know who the momma is that nurtured this little seedling from the very beginning, if you recall please let me know so I can adjust my notes again (so sorry) .
It's been a slow grower but a very pretty seedling and I just love it. It's begun to unfurl as you can see . I'd love to give it a 'real' name and if anyone would like to chime in with a suggestion I'd love to hear it.

@ Ademink ....gawd not a good time to take a swig of my coffee, I love that cat remark and yes a kitty would work . Ummm t.c production lol not likely, if it grows some more (slow) I'd certainly be willing to share it down the road.
I haven't seen any possible names being suggested yet
Glad you like it all, I really do too...just always been something a little differant about it compared to the other hostas I've had. As far as Montana in the genes, I could see that, but going by the cross I dunno .
Lynn if your not the momma... I'm 99% sure then it must be Cheryl; Cheryl where are you girly???

Hi Rachel,
Ah, come to Momma you cutie you! A few of the siblings I kept are also sluggish but as you said they sure are pretty.
It originated from an open pollinated Bill Nash cross...longipes x Ryan's Big One, that I call the smoke hosta, as I bought the plant at a local convenience store. Bill did mention that it may have been originally crossed with longipes 'Ogon Amagi' but couldn't recall for certain....enough of the family history.
Glad to see that your enjoying it.
Cheryl
