Seedling for Danny
Do you remember my little seedling that you liked so much? Here it is this year. It's very slow growing...still only one eye It has substance like it's pod parent...very thick. This is the first year for all of this waviness, and I really like it. For size comparison, that is Gold Drop that's beside it. Hope you all like it.

*I had to edit this post as it was Danny that liked it so much. Sorry Jeroen...I had a brain fart.

I WANT THAT HOSTA!!!!!!!!!!!!
Absolutely drop-dead gorgeous! Protect that baby well...it is so stunning it is even bringing felonious thoughts to my head!
Man, Lynn, that is REALLY special. I am so happy...now that my lust for Atom Smasher has been slaked, that one will move to the top of the LUST LIST!!!
Who are the parents?

Wow that pattern is really great, it looks pretty stable. I'd love a piece of that one!

Thank you all for the great comments! I wish I could say that I hybridized this one for exactly these characteristics, but in truth, I just got lucky. It is an open pollenated seedling from Aurora Borealis. I wish I knew who the proud papa is.
Mike, I was thinking that it would be a good one for First Look, but not this year. I would like it to give me a few more eyes first. At the rate it's growing, that will be a while.
Pia, if I were to send a division to you, then the boys would have to visit you to see it. But then, they could always come here to see it...
Molly, I have a few names in mind, but am waiting to see it mature a little first. I'm afraid if I name it too soon, something will happen to it.
Wanda, you are the closest one to me, I think. So keep your felonious thoughts to yourself. You are always welcome to visit me, but leave your shovel at home!!!
I have a few more babies that I am watching pretty close. Maybe one of these days I will go out and take some pics to share with you. At least here, people appreciate them. Around here I'm more the crazy hosta lady.

Who needs a shovel when you have big strong hands and long tough fingers (hehe)? But I would never do that...I want to be REAL good so I can talk you into a piece some day!!! Just wanted to jokingly remind you that there are those who would - so you could take appropriate measures to protect that spectacular plant. Hope you have a hail-safe cover for it...the weather front that shredded Lisa and jgh’s hosta is nearing here and will probably be coming your way later this week.
