Mito-No-Hana question

Post by barbara »

I think a few of you may grow this hosta :-? Can you tell me if the lighter veins appear immediately or gradually later on? Is it seasonal coloring? Thanks.

Hi Barbara, if you are still on the forum. I just stumbled on this post so I will answer the question for anyone that would like to know. The"lighter veins" are a springtime occurrence, on a yellow leaf. Not only do the lighter veins disappear but the plant is viridescent and becomes all green as the season progresses. Additionally it can have offsets (sports?) that are just green much like some variegated hostas.
