Zeta Breeder seedling reverting

Post by eastwood2007 »

I have a Zeta Breeder seedling that has one eye that has gone green. The eye is in the center. I am hoping to breed the plant this year, and don't know if it is good to disturb it to remove the green eye? I think I have read about some people just cutting the leaves off? My question is isn't that like Rossizing that would make that eye reproduce even faster? Or is it okay to leave it for this season then divide it out? When is the best time?

I am waiting until blooming/pods are finished before doing any "surgery" on my breeders. But I don't know. We'll know next spring, won't we?

Thanks, Mal. That is what I was considering, but just not sure as I am so new at this. My 'Flamboyant' is doing the same. These plants are only 3-4 eyes, so I hate to do anything as they are blooming. I think I will just let them go unless I hear from someone otherwise.

Thanks for weighing in! :D
