Okay, has anyone else noticed how large the vestigial leaves are this year?
I have talked to others that claim it is due to more moisture.
Any thoughts?
Attached is a picture of Stained Glass with a larger then normal vestigial leaf.

My hostas are all new this year but I was surprised to see all of the leaves on their scrapes (and wondered if this is normal). Anyway:
in this part of the Northeast, we have had a lot of rain with few very warm days. The new little hostas must think they're in hosta heaven and most have bloomed or are in bloom. I read somewhere that it is best to take off the blooms the first year but have been reluctant to do that.None here in the North East

I have them, and we are in a drought...its not the moisture here, I assure you!
