Golden Goal

Post by wzbt03 »

H. 'Golden Goal' is a new intro that just came out that was originally a Doug Belstein seedling.
Doug sold a number of his seedlings in auction a few years back and a fellow by the name of Mark Zilis won the right to pick 20 of them.
This is one of the 20 all grown up.

The interesting thing about this one is that until I sent this shot to Doug a few minutes ago, he had never seen the final hosta. He is very happy that Mark got a nice plant out of the seedling. Just last week Doug picked up World Cup and Cloudburst, two others that came from the same batch.

Golden Goal is a seedling from Glory.

It's pretty! It looks alot like the "Dalton's Pick" (one of Kent's intros) that I bought this year from Naylor creek. I will be curious to see how they look once more mature. Do you know how old the plant is you've pictured?

thanks for sharing!
