Hi All--Today's variety, Last Dance, is a lesson in the value of patience among hosta growers. We also have to remember that not ALL hostas varieties can be above average. I got the plant in 2002 and for the next two years was disappointed in it. Its slower than average growth rate (12x5, 11x9, 20x8, 26x16, 33x16, 37x15) could be overlooked, but its foliage was not very appealing. Its appearance started to change in 2005 but now it has become quite attractive. Lemke's Data Base lists Last Dance at 33x12. Slugs have not been a problem for any of the hostas in this part of the garden.

Last Dance, Dance with Me, Summer Breeze, all have the great bright colors in them. Summer Music started it all for these. Mango Tango is related too.
I just got Summer Concerto in Davenport, thanks to Ken. Looks like Summer Music with the yellow center instead of white.
