Chris, et al....
Does anyone know if 'Walden' hosta has ever been tested for HVX? It looks virused for sure but I didn't see it "tagged" in the Hosta Library.
Just curious! I noticed it as I was perusing other hostas in the HL and I thought it was another case of 'Breakdance' or something.
Speaking of 'Breakdance'....I saw a price list for a nursery here in town last night that is selling it!

Virus
You might be surprised how many collectors grow virused plants in their gardens. There are some harmless viruses that do not seem to pass plant to plant.
However I have noticed they keep them away from their good stuff .
Some of them are very interesting plants.

Re: Hosta 'Walden' - virused?
I just came by this thread looking for information on Walden. Has it been tested yet?

There is no photo of the plant-was it deleted? And what other diseases are there for Hosta I thought it was just HVX???

There are some others with odd markings. When I looked at Walden in the library it reminded me that I have seen that look before. I finally remembered it was Lakeside Shadows. Cynthia is another that can have some odd spots.
