Boy, mines in high shade all day and looks nasty! I think I need another to replace it. I think it's one of those 'duds' that Hank is always talking about, that just doesn't thrive

Rain
I would gladly share my rain or anything else to all. Bev
GS burn
I have five gold standards and all of them are about to burn up. I have move two and will likely move the others, but this in this heat, I am afraid I will burn up.

Many years ago I put a row of GS in front of the taxus that were in front of our screened porch. In front of the GS was ivy. From the lake the contrast of the three greens was really pretty. But by summer's end the GS color range was almost comical. Our house faces NE, so the row went from the East corner to the North corner -- and the color range went from the extremes we've seen in this post!! Of course the ivy and the taxus all bit the dust when we tore down and rebuilt.
When I replanted the hostas I distributed all those GS in different areas, and enjoy every color phase it presents. I find it an appealing and versatile plant!

taxus
Arlene, can you please explain taxus to me. I have never heard the word or am I missing something? Thanks Bev
Your struggling GS may have a tree or shrub root growing in it, that's what I usually find when I see that pattern.
Taxus is the same as Yew. It's an evergreen shrub with shiny needles and red berries.
