Monashee Blue Cup...

Post by Pieter »

...is a Canadian introduction by John Montgomery of Monashee Perennials (now called Ambrosia Gardens) in Vernon, BC. Think of this as a small version of 'Abiqua Drinking Gourd'. Supposedly will grow to about 18" x 12" with small rounded, cupped, frosty blue foliage. Good substance too! Obviously this is an immature plant and there is little sign yet of the cupping, but we'll keep our fingers crossed for next season.

That sure is a lot of blue for this time of year, and I can definitely see the cupping potential. Thanks for sharing :)

Will be interesting to watch it fill out and cup more. Very pretty blue. My favorite color in hosta and have never seen one I didn't like :D
