Pic of the Day--Spring Fling

Post by Hank Zumach »

Hi All--Spring Fling in our Friendship Garden has had a very nice growth rate, even though the overall measurements did not change that much. In 2006 it measured 26x9 and measured 32x9 this year but it had a much fuller clump. It should reach its listed mature size of 36x18 next year. Its ruffled white edges and some light green coloring go with its darker green center to distinguish Spring Fling from a number of other varieties.

Buff--It is interesting to see the different amounts of edging that your plant's leaves have. It almost looks like a plant that is sporting.

Hmmm... interesting observation, Hank :-) I'll have to go check it out to see if there's one eye in particular that has wider or thinner margins than the rest of the plant. Thanks for pointing it out!
