Hi All--I received Gold Edger Supreme in 2000 as a freebie that came with a hosta order. It is a rather non-descript little thing but, hey, the price was right. (:-) Unlike the children in Lake Woebegone, Minnesota, who are all above average, there must be some hostas that are not exactly outstanding but are OK none the less. That is the case with today's variety.
It has been growing in a spot that gets about 2 hours of mid-day sun. It has had a steady, if unspectacular, growth rate. Starting in 2001 its measurements were 16x5, 18x9, 22x10, 19x9, and 22x10. (for the last two years it has been recovering from herbicide) That is about right for a plant that apparently should be categorized as "small". Slugs are rather ho-hum about the plant too.
