Hi All--Fair Maiden is a very attractive, distinctive plant. It is one of those plants that has the ability to draw your eyes to it. However, some growers have had problems with plant in locations that do not get much water. In our garden it is growing in a spot that gets a couple of hours or so of late morning sun. My plant, purchased in 1999, has had measurements since 2001 of 20x10, 24x11, 24x10, 26x9, 28x12, 23x11 and 22x12. The shape of the mound on my plant is not the upright kind of clump that the registration information implies. Lemke's database gives the mature mound size as 18x14. Slugs are only a minor problem.

Yours is very pretty. Mine was anything but after its first year. I'm hoping for a better second year.
