Pic of the Day--Garden tour 6

Post by Hank Zumach »

Hi--I've mentioned before that our home is located on a bluff side on the Mississippi River valley. The 1st photo was taken in mid May from a point several hundred yards out in the river. In the center of the photo you can see the angled driveway that starts up the bluff side and then turns and goes toward the top of the photo. That last part is the driveway that has shown up on the recent garden photos. The next 2 shots are from the middle of our front garden.

Thanks, Hank. I think I might make it through another cold, nasty, sub-zero-windchill day now.

Linda--Glad I could help out. :D I just spent 2+ hours with my big snow blower followed by another 45 minutes of spreading salted sand on our driveway. We had freezing rain followed by 5-6 inches of snow. You can imagine what it was like in looking at the 1st photo. That is all part of the price we pay for having this otherwise spectacular location.

Hank, thank you for sharing these pictures with us all. That truly is a spectacular site, not to mention stunningly landscaped.

All those shades of green sure do cheer up a cold, winter's day. I see a few groundcovers in those pics. :D Seeing how you have incorporated them into the landscape is another thing I love about the tour.
