One of my seedlings - Squid Lips

Post by caliloo »

This one is kind of cute IMHO - I am tentatively calling it "Squid Lips". It is the third year in the ground so this has been a nice increase on it. It is definitely small - it is about 2-3 inches tall and currently about 6 inches across.

Thanks for looking
Alexa

edited to change my post to read third year. I checked my records and this one was a 2006 seedling and it had 2 eyes last year. It is 8 eyes now, so still a nice increase!

ROTFL, I would buy it for the name alone, sight unseen! Having seen it, I like it even more!

Thanks!

I think it is worthwhile... I'm glad others agree. If you really want to know the parantage...... keep tuned to this post!

And just to mention, it is mostly green with partial lighter green , yellow and lighter shading - not streaking, but subtle colors in the leaves.

Reldon!

Okay - it is an OP Korean Snow baby. It came from the batch of seeds I got from a local nursery a few years back so the pollen parent could be anything!

Thanks for the nice comments on the name - my kids actually decided on it!

 Love the name. I did wonder how you came up with that name. It certainly would be something that would attract my interest. Cute little hosta. I do love the way the leaves have that waviness. :)

Alexa - you'd better get this one into TC fast so I can plant it next to 'Lizard Lick' that I signed up to buy yesterday.
