Moon Garden update

Post by DBoweMD »

Last fall I made a circle, filled it with topsoil and put solid plants in it buried in their pots, mostly seedlings I like that are either dark or light. It is color sorted and shaped like a moon in honor of my DGF, who is into sun, moon, and stars. It is best viewed from across the lake to see the shape, but you can also see it fom my house.
It came up this year with too many that were not yellow enough so I rearranged the pots with some others I had elsewhere.

What do you think?

Yes it shows up best at dusk. Worst with dappled sun on it.

I like the pic with the reflection. What a good idea you had there!! I am afraid I am none too creative. BIg ones in the back (most of the time  ) and small to the front. But as things grow and I get more savvy I will try to rearrange with more of a plan. Something to plot in the winter I think
I love your yard--reminds me of a vacation up north.

Thanks!
I took more pics of the back yard. It does seem like you are at a vacation camp for hostaholics out there.
This is looking out the back window of the living room.
Note campfire smoke near the lake. Moongarden is in front of the log pile (old MAPLE TREES!! :D )
Colors are bright due to the autocorrect feature in my photoeditor.
