seedling all growed up.

Post by combellack »

Five years in and some of my seedlings are really developing their mature characteristics and i must say i am happy with how things are going. The hosta below is my favorite at the moment and yes i realize some people find "plain old greenies" boring but i think this one can hold it's own among some of the flashier varigated types. Let me know what you think.

I think it's very nice. I kind of overdosed myself on the flashier, variegated types and I've been working on adding interesting plain green ones this year. One of my favorites in Manhattan, and your's reminds me of that with the interesting texture.

I've always felt you need the "plain green" ones to make the others stand out. When the "plain green" stands out, its a bonus.

The color is accurate no messing with photoshop or funky filters. I do Like this one and the seedlings from her have been pretty good too.

Looks like a green Love Pat (one of my favorites). Anybody can hybrodize a streaked hosta. It's harder to hybrodize a plain jane green hosta that stands out and it looks like you've done that. Would look good in any garden.

Very nice, great bright color

Love the green, blue and yellow with the special touch...

The bumples, the inpresses veins, the edges or the cupped...
My eyes need rest and I love to be surprised at the second glance :D
