Uh-Oh...better bring rain gear, just in case. Was checking the forecast for here so also checked Cement City...same forecast...chance of rain each day Wed. - Sun. Can't even whine because we NEED rain so badly.

Hi Lucygoose,

I love 3 bean salad. Brian doesn't like vinegar, prefers sweet things, so he probably wouldn't like it ;)

      This place cracks me up!!!

So Chris has been hanging on to LucyGoose's favorite slotted spoon for A YEAR?!!! Of course, he put it right next to the computer so he'd know EXACTLY where it was! You really do have true friends on this forum! :D Lucy, stick that spoon in your purse the minute you arrive, otherwise you are likely to get distracted ( . . . distracted? . . . our LucyGoose?? ) and forget it.

OH HOW I WISH I WAS GOING THIS YEAR!!! :bawl: :bawl: :bawl:

Speaking of spoons....   .......I found a serving spoon in my utensil drawer months and months ago that I don't recognize. I have no idea who it belongs to! Besides being at the Hallson get-together last July, I have also been to several church functions, picnics, family get-togethers, etc....and somehow this spoon must have come home with me. After reading this post, I am wondering if it came home with me from Michigan??? So if anyone is missing a nice serving spoon out of their flatware set, would you post it here and let me know what it looks like. I'll be glad to mail it to you.....and publicly apologize on bended knee for keeping your spoon for a year.

Thankyou. Guess its not going to be a secret for to much longer. We're going to get married by the end of the month so I've got my hands full getting that pulled together. We plan on surprising everybody at the family reunion on the 31st. So it going to be a very busy 11 days for me. With canning and critters dont know where I will find the time. (but you know I will even if the beans have to wait) LOL Priorities you know. heheheehe. He really surprised me. When we met he said he would never get married again and now its a whirlwind courtship. LOL You would think we were kids and we had to get married. But when he makes his mind up to do something it gets done.
I do miss not going to make it. I've been wanting to for quite a few years. So you all have a good time and maybe next year we will make it. Hopefully it wont fall on his family reunion. But I think even if it does he will bring me to Michigan instead. He's a sweety like that.

well, I think I will still be coming...MIL fell twice this morn and ended up cracking ! 5 ! ribs!!! She is in the hospital for a couple days, then she will be in a skilled nursing facility for a couple weeks. Thought for sure she cracked open her head on the second fall, but thankfully not. Will keep you updated as I know more...I am still at the hospital. Pretty civilized that they have public internet kiosks!

By the way, I will have some goodies here for our plant auction, plus some newer plants will be available from us for the first time this weekend.

Some plants to be auctioned will be one of our ruffled Blue Mouse Ears plants, with the lighter margin, one of Bob Solberg's green edged Sum and Substance sports called Final Summation, and a streaked plant from Pineapple Punch called Spiked Punch. New plants that are getting potted up for the weekend are Popcorn (not really new, just coming back for us), Alakazaam, and Pure Heart (a cream centered sport of Blue Mouse Ears), plus I might find some other things around here too :)

We are getting excited for the weekend, busy cleaning everything up, and of course, Brian and I are tackling a drywall project at the last minute to section off my shipping area from the downstairs family room

See you Saturday!
