Using Neem oil on hostas?

I heard a talk about Dahlias last evening and the speaker was extolling the virtues of Neem oil for controlling earwigs and slugs among other things. Has anyone tried it on their hostas?

I'm going to try it. I have some mixed up for the orchids and houseplants. Now i want to go at the white fluffy things that seem to love the flower scapes on h. ventricosa.

I know that horticultural oil will dissolve the wax off the blue hostas, so you might try it on an inconspicuous blue to see if you can live with the results.

Thanks for that tip. So far I've not invested in it, but I think I may try it.
