Hosta of the Day 'So Sweet' - Post Your Pics
This is Thursday's hosta, but I may not get to the computer until around noon; so I'll put it up early.
'So Sweet' was added to my garden September 2005. It has grown well, but was divided this past spring when I did a major plant sale to benefit my church's renovation. I planted the remaining eyes in three groups, making the overall clump look a bit fuller than it really is.

Should look good next year, I hope.

Re: Hosta of the Day 'So Sweet' - Post Your Pics
Name: H. 'So Sweet'
Description: Glossy green leaves with white edges. Average substance.
Size: Medium (22"w x 14"h) but mine is larger
Origin: 'Fragrant Bouquet' X 'Aden 462'
Flowers: Pale lavender flowers are very fragrant. Open, funnel-shaped on upright, leafy scapes in late summer.
Source: acquired in a trade with a friend
Added to garden: September 2005
Notes: 1996 Hosta of the Year. Likes morning sun. Increases rapidly. However, I thought mine would have grown more since being divided last year than it has.

Would like to add some scape/bract pictures of 'So Sweet.' They stayed nice even after the flowering was done and there were no pods. Every time I've walked by them they are still so sweet. These pictures taken today, Oct. 8.

2014. My 'So Sweet' seems never to have forgiven me for dividing it in 2011. It has still not regained its former size. The area where it is tends to be dry and I've tried to ensure it is well watered. Maybe it will look better next year. Picture from July 16, 2014.

Re: Hosta of the Day 'So Sweet' - Post Your Pics
I was working on a HotD for Sweet Thing (a sport of So Sweet) and looked back into this topic. I had put a flower picture in here in 2012 but noticed it looked odd for a Fragrant Bouquet family flower. So I went back into my photos and found some flowers that do match what it should look like. As I was doing that I found a lot of other "interesting" photos for this topic so I pulled them together. Here is my So Sweet through the years. I planted it in 2009 in my Fragrant Bouquet group area.
Here it is in 2010. Odd scape way out-of-season - April??? Buds showing - I didn't get flower pictures - probably the scape was destroyed by deer or rabbits. Later Even later

2015 - July 25. I've finally seen a bit of growth on 'So Sweet' this year, but it's still not as large as before I divided it in 2011.
