Daily Hosta #2 - North Wind

Post by redcrx »

A second "N" that I have some decent pictures of but I didn't get any early in the season when this one has a nice gold edge to it.

I happen to have a photo early when the edge is still on, and then one in early August when you can hardly tell that it's edge is lighter.

Gee, finally one that I easily have a picture to share :) This is North Wind when it first comes up in the spring, so you can see it changes a lot during the year.

 Soory, no pic

Just a question

When I see the spring pics, specially the one from Chris, it is cupped, but when i look at the late summer pics the cupping seems to have faded away :hmm:

Want it anyway, but wonder :-?

I didn't get any shots this season.

As for "cupping" there is still some late in the season on some leaves.

North Wind today - still a lot of color on the edge.
That's Richland Gold's Moonlight on the left and Fire Opal behind with Academy Fire on the right edge.

Here is North Wind today. The "yellow" plants around it are a lot smaller this season.

Hi Chris - what surprised me this season was the plant still has its edge color this late in the season. I was out getting photos and said "What the heck". Neat plant.
