My all time favorite Hosta is Liberty. It does well in MI in full sun and does well in Monkton with pretty deep shade. It isn't a fast grower for me but year after year of deer damage doesn't help either. Or battling the Ostrich fern bullies.

2015 - July 03. Still looking good. BTW, it's now September 27 and it still looks good. Virtually no slug damage.
