Name: H. 'Kifukurin Ko Mame'

Description: Shiny, dark green, wavy leaves with creamy margins. In Japanese Ko means "small" and Mame is "a pea"; so the name means "gold-margined, very small hosta."
Size: Mini (7"w x 4"h)
Origin: Unknown, Japan
Flowers: Purple flowers.
Added to garden: Late 1990's or around 2000.
Notes: fast growing, good edger - I have this in several spots of my yard and really like it as an edger.

Ann: this was the one I got from you this spring. Thanks a bunch, this little hosta just survive in the shade, under the shade of Hosta Guacamole.

Ed - is yours really the same plant? The margins seem wider.

At any rate, I have this in four places and in two of them it's doing really well. I have a garden in the back yard which is close to the neighbour's Linden Tree and the bits of it that are in that garden seem stunted.
