Thank you Owen. I live in Western Michigan and am lucky that I can buy locally. There's a nursery that is 10 minutes from my house that has over 600 varieties. It's not unusual for me to buy hostas that already have over 10 eyes. I bought about a 100 hostas that were dormant and, being a hosta newbie, had no idea how big a fully leafed out hosta with 15 eyes actually got. It was a nice surprise for me.

I can't wait to show everyone the beauties I got from Hallsons in Mid September when I visited. With those huge roots and micro irrigation installed, they are going to grow like hostas on steroids next year, there will be no sleep or creep year hostas in my garden next year :!:

Greetings from Berlin!

That's very pretty. Is it a slow grower? I find it curious that it's "Small (53"w x 19"h)" - That's 4 1/2 feet wide! :)

Oops, thanks for catching the typo, it's listed as a medium sized plant. I fixed it. It's listed as having medium growth rate. Nice to hear from you, hope you trip is going well for you.

Today was last day in Berlin. I DID see some nice hostas around a fountain - obviously carefully planted. Have a pic or two, but won't download until we get home. Tomorrow, train to Dresden for a few days. Then train back to Berlin and fly to Franfurt as we will be in Wuerzburg most of next week,
