This is a hosta for Tuesday, Nov. 1. Just have more time now than tomorrow morning.

Name: H. 'Fireworks'

Description: narrow, stiff leaves stand straight up and have a creamy white centre surrounded by a very dark green margin and some green streaking to the centre.
Size: Tiny (10"w x 8"h)
Origin: Sport of H. 'Loyalist'
Flowers: pale lavender, tubular mid-summer
Source: Budd Gardens
Added to garden: Spring 2008
Notes: This hosta is patented.

This one is a very slow grower and mine did not grow much in the past year.

2015 - Aug. 13. I decided this one was in a spot that was too dark and too dry. So, I potted it and it's done well. Haven't decided on a long-term garden location though.

2017 - it did well in a pot. but in early 2018, it's getting smaller. Many of my hostas are not doing as well in 2018 - weird weather in early spring. July 27, 2017.
