Here is my first attempt at following in Ann's footsteps. I don't believe this one has been done yet. I hope you enjoy it.
Description: Wide yellow/cream margin on large pointed glossy green leaf. Foliage is long and spade-shaped with a prominent point. Has undulations
Size: Large – 48”w x 27”h
Origin: Montana sport
Flowers: Tightly clustered, white/lavender flowers in mid-July.
Added to garden: spring 2005 – I believe mine is now over 50” in width.
Notes: This hosta is an early riser poking its nose out of the ground a little too early. Protect from frost in early spring. Well worth the effort.

Would that I had more space, that would be in my garden in a flash.

Hey Linda,
Is that 'On Stage' to the right? I just got that one this past summer and I can't wait to see it when it is bigger.
I wish I had taken some pictures this summer as many of my hostas have taken off. All I have is pictures of them when they were babies.

I'll have to hop over the fence next summer to get a picture of mine next year. Mine lean towards the morning sun, and all those beautiful leaves face the wrong way. The squirrels in the park are the only ones that get to see how beautiful this one is in our garden!
Here's what it looked like the week before I put it in the ground:

Yes, Chris, you're right. It's On Stage. Mine had to make a comeback..I divided a piece of it off for my daughter
a few years ago, and it did not care for being disturbed and threatened to die on me. It was really nice this year,
so I can stop holding my breath now.

Re: Daily Hosta - 'Montana Aureomarginata'
MA is the hosta that rekindled my interest in hostas when I saw it in Artistic's display garden. I had difficulty at that time distinguishing it from 'Yellow River'. I planted both in 2007 in this part of my largest hosta bed. Slugs don't seem to bother it much. I left room for its mature size but I don't think mine will attain that size because of root comptition. It gets dappled light under limbed up spruce trees. Like Hank, I try to fill the empty spaces with ground covers. I like its pairing with 'On Stage' above and will move my OS to replace teeny Illicit Affair, which looks out of place beside Hanky Panky.

This plant has always been small for me. But this season it seems to have some size to it.
