I'm not sure where to get the correct sizes for the hosta so I have used the Hosta Library as my reference.

Dwarf
Tiny Tears

Small
Candy Dish - Green Lama

Medium
Waving Wuffles - Grand Slam ========= I think Waving Wuffles is going to be a large. Its growing so fast I am amazed.

Large
Green Piecrust

Extra Large
If its green absolutely
KOMODO DRAGON
my own seedling Tommy
Large green very rapidly growing hosta.

Linda, I was curious is why I asked. I didn't mean for you to change your entry. Both mine are green also and wanted to include it with my entry if it was. I have heard people say both, but didn't know for sure.

I guess with all the heat everything looks green this year. I wrote down all the green looking plants down when I went for a walk through them and didnt check to make sure they were green to start with. The library says its blue thats why I changed it. BUT if its really green I change it back. LOL

Well in that case.

I have three greens, so I will vote for all three.

Here is my attempt to get stuff in the right categories -- many of mine are still growing, so I used Zillis for size, others have been growing long enough, that I think they are mature. If you disagree jgh, just ignore my entries, or put them where you think they should be.

Dwarf= Twist of Lime, Little Hobber
Small = only one I have is Floradora (maybe considered yellow-green, but mine is green)
Med = Black Hills, Invincible
Large = Clear Fork River Valley, Sea Monster
X-Lge = T. Rex, Komodo Dragon

thanks for your votes, guardbear

Little Hobber - I don't have that one, but like the name...
Twist of Lime - must have fooled you... it is basically Lemon-Lime with a variable green margin that often seems to disappear later in the season and all the L-L yellow becomes chartreus... so you can vote for it in Yellow-with-Green category...

This is a difficult one as there are so many really nice green hostas!

Dwarf = Tiny Tears, Itsy Bitsy Spider
Small = Lizard Lick, Candy Dish
Medium = Cutting Edge, Devon Green
Large = Komodo Dragon, Niagara Falls
X-Large = Empress Wu, Hercules

Those are today's favourites...

I saw a beautiful Millenium at a friends garden the other day. 6 ft across. Dont know how to vote for those listed as Bluegreen. Is is blue or green? If blue/green are to be listed as green I have a few others I need to put in the voting.

Blue-greens are going to be blues... because even some of the best blues are green by the end of the season... but it is a very rare Green that will develop wax during the season and turn to blue - I say rare because maybe there is one, but I don't know it... soo... bluish green means blue...

thanks, all!

Thanks for the clarification Jim. I was wondering about Cutting Edge, though, as mine have always seemed distinctly blue. Komodo Dragon I can see as a green since it doesn't scream out to be a blue hosta though it is a blue-green.

Cutting Edge is registered as a blue green... so we're putting it with the blues.

Komodo Dragon... registered as a dark green, glaucous on the under side so that might imply some bluishness, but to me its always been a green so that's were it goes!

thanks for voting folks - keep it up, and recruit your friends!

shortshadows... Abiqua Drinking Gourd is a blue...is there a green Drinking Gourd I don't know about?

and you threw me a curve with Emerald Necklace - this time of year it is green-and-green... not a category we typically vote on. I think since it emerges with a cream center and the center then turns green - we'll save Emerald Necklace for the cream-centered green category.
