Got mine in July 2011 from Hallson's, so that makes this the third year in my garden. I've been happy with its strong growth. It's shaping up well.

Nice :D

Patience is one key... Water the other.

With one inch of Water you will get a nice growt rate, then the more Water you give and specially in spring /early summer and again late summer/ start fall, the more they will grow

Years back my best friend brought a few fans of the oldest sieboldiana in Europe to my garden andt he same to hers. Mine have been growing nicly, so did hers. Then she moved to a flat and gave her plant to my son to care for and he have very high ground Water
He's a monster.. mine is very nice but just over half the hight... getting one inch a week

Speaking of water-we've been getting 3-4 inches of rain every week since May. all my Hosta plants have doubled in size, other flowering plants have grown but because of not enough sun since its always raining, are very late to flower. Wouldn't mind an inch or 2 a week, but we are saturated here. Hoping the weekend is nice and not rainy.

Your hostas love it, so did mine last year and the Midwest hostas the year before
My country is a tiny all seaside area in the battlefield between the Atlantic ( Cold in the summers/ warm in the Winthers) and Russian ( Warm in the summers and Cold in the Winthers) weather preasures... normaly getting a lot of rain... then normally dsisapeared some years ago... Global clima changing :( makes it hard to be a gardener

This is my Komodo Dragon I got from Chris in 08. Its huge but is looking ratty from the freezing and frost we got. Saved it from the frost but the freeze took its tole. Its missing a lot of leaves that I took off they were so froze. I should have waited till the sun was down a bit for the pic but I wanted it NOW. lol

Even with the frost, yours looks good! I bought mine in 2011 from a different place and it was a half pint, so I''m sure next year mine will put on a lot more growth.

Was wondering how your Komodo Dragon was doing. Mine is over 4 ft across now and still growing. Image

I know I have one out in the gardens that I got from Chris, I think it was the first one up this past year before our giants block it's view.

It's the one in the center towards the top.

Giants block its view  Komodo is one of the biggest in that bed. So far its taller than Leading Lady this year. Funny I thought Leading Lady was taller. Oh well she is probly still growing.
