I was just reminded of something else I need to do in the garden - my Paradise Sunshine has a solid sport that needs to come out. It's been there a couple of years but I've never bothered with it.

Finally got the opportunity to clean up some sporting plants after the party. I took Paradise Sunshine apart - I dug under one side and lifted half of the plant so I could access the solid piece in the middle. I took out the solid piece and put most of Paradise Sunshine that I remove back in the same spot. The right side is the piece that was removed and put back.

The solid piece went back into the same garden but on the opposite side next to Fragrant Dream and Fragrant King.
You can see the original Paradise Sunshine in the top/left corner of the photo.

More on Paradise Sunshine - it's in flower now along with most of its 'Fragrant Bouquet' family.

And the solid gold sport that came off of it seems to have survived and is also in flower.

Paradise Sunshine has a flower open today and it has a fragrance. I know it supposed to have a scent but I rarely catch them with a fragrance. I checked three other plants that have plantaginea in their background but there wasn't any scent.
The plant is a lot bigger this season. Last season I split it up to get the gold sport out and I put all the pieces back in the same area.
That's Color Parade top/left - lost its streaks many years ago - I have about 4 pots that were split off trying to keep the streaks but just nice yellow plants now.
That's So Sweet in the top/right corner.
In the top middle is Miss Saigon which has been in there for many years but never grows.

Here is the gold sport. It's on the other side of the grouping with Fragrant King and Fragrant Dream around as well as the little streaker Sweet and Sour - it's small because it wants to go green and I won't let it.
