"Lady" Hosta of the Day - 'Blue Haired Lady'

Post by redcrx »

'Blue Haired Lady' is a yingeri seedling.

I got this from Chris a few years ago. Had to move it when the garden became overrun by tree roots - so I put it in a trough. It took off in 2012. The damage on some of the leaves is from late April frosts.
The first photo shows Blue Haired Lady flanked by Hydon Sunset on the left and a Paradise Sunset sport on the right - both were moved out of the same overrun garden.

It grows into a nice specimen if you give it the time.
This one has been in the garden for 5 years.

Hi Rob,

Thanks for showing an example of what this plant should look like. I need to check and see what mine looks like this season after the abuse it has suffered.
