Fastest growing hostas

Post by kaylyred »

I'm going to be looking for some speed-growers (yeah, I know that's a relative term when you're talking about hostas) for my new garden. What are some of your fastest growing hostas?

Mine so far have been:

Regal Splendor (doubled its number of eyes every year for the first three in my garden)
Golden Tiara (but not so much Grand Tiara or Heavenly Tiara for some reason)
Striptease (super full, super fast)

Check out Petiole Junction, my gardening blog!
See my little hosta list
I've also got a garden photo gallery.

My fastest grower has always been Blue Cadet. I divide it every 2-3 years. Maybe that's why it grows so fast....

Everything out of plantaginea.. like Owen say Guacamole, they are late flowering and fast growing
Then I have been surprised by Lakesidè Cha Cha. l- Surfrider and l. Prophecy
And Brother Stephan, they have been very fast for me
Against stupidity the gods themselves struggle in vain.
