'Empress Wu' has larger leaves. I do not have a mature specimen yet (kept selling out), so cannot compare stature.

24 F this morning, so more of last year's pics is the best I can do: 'Jolly Roger' is 4' high (foliage).

Gorgeous plant-Jolly Roger. My Empress Wu and Komodo dragon are in their third year now-I think a leap is coming for a couple of mine. Can't wait to see them.
Its 35 this AM here this morning. :(

Last year everything was up and growing. This year, so far, nothing showing. But maybe that's a good thing as I caught the mailman trekking across the bare soil of one hosta bed yesterday - carefully avoiding the crocuses. He had NO IDEA that he might be treading on emerging plants. He does now.

Yikes, Ann! It always amazes me how clueless people can be about gardens. I live on a city street that gets a fair amount of foot traffic, and I once had a woman walking a large black lab on a retractable leash let her dog not only wander through but poop in my front garden while I was outside working in a nearby bed. The hostas were just emerging then. When I asked her please not to let her dog stomp around in my garden, she looked at me as if *I* was the one being rude and said, "Oh, I thought because there was nothing in it yet..."

The rudeness of some people never ceases to amaze me.

I was out this morning getting some photos of how tiny a lot of the "yellows" are.

Here is Whiskey Sour today.

Did you both have very dry weather last year? That could be a factor.
