One a day - Hosta 'Fleet Week'

Post by Rob »

This Altarra Scheer introduction, a H. 'Niagara Falls' seedling, is, like its mom, a real showstopper.
It makes a very tight clump and grows very fast.
In the Hosta Mill it found a place in the shade of a platanus tree. The soil gets a 5 cm compost layer every 2 years.
This seems to work very well.

This would be a fun one to have, as its name reminds me of the painting by Paul Cadmus: The Fleet's In
Image

We have Altarra's 'Funky Monkey' which lives up to its name, in a way. It is an indescribable color (or more accurately, colors).
