Every day I hope to see a post about this I'm so excited! This year I also want to visit Hidden Lake Gardens. Anyone feel like staying an extra day before or after to see the collection there?

I stopped by on my way back from Milwaukee. Had a great visit. Bought Seducer and Radiant Star.

Toured Hidden Lake Gardens and saw the Hosta Hillside Benedict Collection - it was really nice.
Chatted with one of the gardeners there who is into hosta (I got the feeling he tracked me down - he found me in a really out-of-the-way spot but I had been talking to other gardeners about hosta and I think they tracked me down). I told him I was headed for Van Wade's and he mentioned the Kingwood Center in Mansfield, Ohio. They have a nice hosta display also and a "friendly" peacock - couldn't tour the mansion though.

About the annual get together, I'm leaning heavily towards the first Saturday in August, August 3rd. If that date doesn't work, we could also consider the last Saturday in July. Any other weekends would have to contend with the races at MIS which means trouble getting rooms and lots of traffic.

What are people's thoughts on having it on August 3rd? Lots of people stay in the area overnight and there is a nice B & B around the corner, or motels in the Jackson area.

Let me know so we can get this thing scheduled

Some day I'm gonna come, but early August never works for me because it's smack dab in the middle of the Ottawa International Chamber Music Festival at which I've heavily involved as a volunteer.

My husband is thankfully coming back that day, so I don't have to book the cats into boarding. They were have been seriously unhappy.

Anyway, I'm looking at the Super 8 in Adrian, mainly because it will be a shorter drive to Hidden Lake Gardens the next day.

That sounds great Eleven You might check out the Super8 in Brooklyn as it is much closer than Adrian, but they don't have that many rooms so might be sold out on the weekends.

Thank you Art (from both of us). It looks like I will be attending the get together after all. When my sweet hubby found out I had told LucyGoose that I was not going, he told me that I should go. He says he will be able to manage the eye drops on his own. Yippee!
