I received a liner of this hosta at a recent hosta event I attended.
I gather it will get large and it's supposed to be gold, although my liner is definitely green.
I'm wondering if anyone out there has grown it and whether it's a wonderful addition to a garden that has very little space - I'd have to get rid of one or more plants to add a large new addition. Also wonder how fast it grows.
I'm debating at this point as to whether I will keep the plant or offer it up to my Hort. Society for their spring auction.

Hi Ann,
Here is picture of World Cup at Giboshihill Hostas.
I immediately wanted it in my collection. Can't comment on growth yet because we just got it last year.

Looks beautiful and with the vase shape it do not take up a lot of space. Color often depend of the amount of light it have been given.
Many years ago someone showed a pic of a mature h. Sagae surrounded with minies, so stunning I have never forgotten it

Re: Hosta 'World Cup'
Ann,
It looks like a real keeper to me! I think I'd hang on to it for a few years and see what it does! With all of the thunderstorms we get around here every spring, I'd have to find a nice sheltered spot for it. Those taller, vase-shaped hostas tend to really get beat up here
Adding it to my wish list.....
