I wasn't paying any attention to this plant this season. But today I noticed the leaf tip had a twist so I thought I would get some photos. This is one of the first plants I posted in this series. I called it the one with the tallest scapes back in 2014.

The variegated piece I separated last season survived. This is Miss Avery-Rose.

This is Miss Miranda (a Miss Angie seedling from Art Wrede). I have posted it before but now that's it's in soil it's taking off.

This is a reverse angle photo showing the plant in the grouping - Restless Sea on the left, Bogie and Bacall left bottom corner, the yellow at the top is another Miss Angie seedling I named Miss Angela Danielle. That's Bobbie Sue trying to get into the frame in the top left corner. The plant in the bottom right corner is from Roger Smith's work - a cross of a Swoosh seedling X Grand Marquee - green plant with a fine white edge.

There's always something different in the garden. Today I was cleaning grass out of a clump of June and First Frost and thinking about how to attack some poison ivy that's in my hardy orchid bed. I took some of the June and First Frost and moved them into my back garden. After that I decided to get some updated photos of the Miss Angie seedlings I have. While doing that I noticed one of them puts out a yellow leaf that quickly goes green - I hadn't noticed that sequence before.

A follow-up on Miss Selene - it has 7 scapes all with long vestigial leaves but the flowers are not opening. Maybe if we get some cooler temps they may act better.

Something a little bit different showed-up today. The tag said #114. I don't think I have seen it flower before because it is not a #114. (The #114 was given the name 'Otter Point' a few years ago.) The flower is wrong - it doesn't have the dark center.
This is the original tag that was in the pot.

The leaf is too light and doesn't have a white back.

Here is the flower. What is unusual is the stamen are different lengths - 3 long and 3 short. It's hard to see in this photo but looking at the two to the left of the style, the one on the left is shorter than the one to its right.

The flower does have a little bit of purple on the end of the style which is similar to #114.

But something really odd - it has a branched scape. This I had seen before in one of Art's #102 plants (Bill's white back X OMT). Art had lots labeled #102 but many were very different looking seedlings. The "normal" #102 seedling should have white back but this plant doesn't. The normal #114 (Otter Point) does have a white back. I have recently seen a few plants posted with branching scapes that have OMT in their background. So I'm thinking this is just an "odd" #102 plant that didn't get the white back but the different size stamen has me stumped because I associate that with yingeri or laevigata - I know Art had them around but I don't know if he used them.

The thought hit me that the branch might just be random. I have a Hoosier Harmony with a branched scape but I think it's random. But this branch looks like a "normal" branch - I have Snake Charmer with multiple branches that look just like this one. Well today I went out to get more photos and found the branch on the second scape also.
