Mayflower Moon is a gold hosta of medium size. It was the 2011 Boston Convention hosta. One of the gardens on the Convention tour overlooked Plymouth Rock where the Mayflower landed in 1620.

I have two of these - one in a pot and one in a trough (it's really too big for the troughs I use but it looks fine)

Mayflower Moon was a volunteer seedling in the garden of Carol Brashear. She entered it as a whim in the competition to become the AHS convention plant for New England in 2011, and was surprised that it was chosen over all the many excellent plants from other New England hybridizers.
I got mine at the convention in its little Dixie Cup and planted it in the ground in the Fall of 2011. Here it is last year in May. It's about 3 feet in diameter. The growth rate is good, but I've only just begun to see the rugosity of a mature plant yet. It becomes more gold as the growing season progresses and it's fertile.
Steve, your Mayflower Moon looks great. I chose to add it to my garden in 2013 after looking for a lutescent hosta. It didn't do well in my garden but that may be because of the location (on an incline) in which I planted it.It may not have gotten enough water. I moved it and hope it survives to 2015.
