Get together/summer open house 2015

The get together is coming up on August 1st!

I can't wait! I'm so excited! I have spring fever!! (Can you tell?) Every day, I sit here at work, doing my work because I'm good like that, and all I can think about is what I want to do in the garden when I get home. Or the next day. Or over the weekend. Yesterday I made a list two pages long. And I'm behind in taking pictures this year because I've been doing so much work out there!

I had actually planned to visit Hallson's this weekend with Linda (Made in the Shade), but she's going to Pennsylvania instead. And now I have a hosta club garden visit on Sunday then game night, so I really can't afford to lose another day out of the garden, even if it is to buy more plants. Priorities!

P.S. I'm buying Winter Snow this year, even if it does drink a lot of water.

We have been so busy with mail order, opening for Mother's Day, and now getting ready for the Memorial Day weekend that I hadn't even thought about the summer open house (or much of anything else) quite yet, but it would be around the end of July/beginning of August like before. We tried the last Saturday in July a couple times and that conflicted with too many people's schedules, so the last two summers it was the first Saturday in August, but this year that would put it on August 1st which might be more conflicting than ever. I don't know why that is such a popular time for events.

So there are 3 possible dates: July 25th, August 1st, August 8th.

Any thoughts?

I can make any of those dates, but the 1st is best. I think I'll just take those half Fridays off as garden time.

I've had some feedback from others too and It seems that the most popular time is August 1st, so that's the day we are going to make it this year. Linda, I sure hope your work schedule can be adjusted.

So put it on the calendar, we are making this official.

Wow....I was talking to Patruska (which we have not talked in awhile) and we were wondering if there was a get together this year......came here to look...saw the date.....I ran to look at the calendar and that weekend I have a Barn Hunt trial with Toby....I am a bad gardener anyway....for real....I have got so involved with this youngest dog with Nosework and Barn Hunt....I will have to miss this year.....I would love to see everyone though....its already paid for, or I would have thought about it....I am so sorry....
