You guys have to share what you got.

I had to withdraw because of a couple of hosta health problems (hopefully, they will turn out to be treatable ), but I really wanted to play .

Therefore, I'd appreciate a blow by blow of what you got and what you sent.

That way, at least I can play vicariously.

Thought I'd better attach my hosta list to help during the hosta swap. When I review other's lists, I don't feel like I have many. Thank goodness there's been so much rain, I will have the best chance at giving my secret hostas a good start!

Received my hosta swap package and couldn't believe how many wonderful hostas and plants were included from Carol O.

Carol sent Warwick Curtsey, Undulata, Kiwi Full Monty, Stir Fry and Blue Moon. She also sent two native plants - a Piggy back plant and an Inside Out flower. I'll find special places for them all and hope the natives enjoy Indiana.

Thank you Carol O for the generous, wonderfully packaged plants. Thank you ZZTOPSOIL for organizing and managing the swap. I can only imagine how much time and energy it takes to handle one. Can't wait to see what everyone else gets.

My hostas were shipped today to my recipient. Can't give away who at this time, although it shouldn't be hard to figure out. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do. Happy planting all.....

Mike I am still doing a lot of hybridizing, just not posting about it much since so many others are doing the same. I do have my name on a Hosta now though, in collaboration with Chris, 'Summer Rainbow' is a joint registration/venture, a sport of Winter Snow. Not a seedling, but I do have a lot of hybrid seedlings worthy of registering. I like yours!

I receieved my package Wednesday afternoon, sent by Rose of Oquawka, IL, alias "Roseyposey", shipped from Hallson's.
I received;
1. 'Wishing Well' which is a blue cupped one hybridized by Don Dean whilch I will use in my Hybridizing program. Supposed to hold the blue a long time into the summer, and has some Abiqua Drinking Gourd in its heritage. Great!
2 'June Spirit', which is a wide margin sport of 'June Fever'. What's not to love about the shiny green and bright yellow center! think this may be a tetraploid so I will probably use it more when I get some tetraploid crosses going.
3. 'Crocodile Rock', hybridized by my friends Jim and Sandy Wilkins, which I have never seen, but heard of it from the hat contest at Nashville's national AHS convention. (Greg Peterson sported a Crocodile Rock themed Hat)
Fun stuff!

Thanks Rose, you picked some winners!
Thanks to Chris and to Lelan for reviving the swap!

I sent mine out Tuesday, may be arriving today to my south

So much fun!
I looked up the ones Brian sent ZZTOPSOIL. I could only find Glory and Zuzu's Petal in the HostaLibrary. That Glory is a good looker.
I bought Wishing Well last year. It hasn't bloomed yet, but I'm looking forward to doing some hybridizing with it, also.

LOL It did come today DBoweMD. I wasn't even looking for it, things have been a little hectic around here the last week or so. Then hubby put it on the table and didn't even tell me.

Well on to the good stuff.
Dave was so very generous, and I am just giggling with my new babies.
He sent 7, I say that again 7 new hosta
The Twister (whoo hooo Ruffles)
Parkey's Prize
Change of Tradition
Sweet Home Chicago
Birchwood Parky's Gold (and a couple golds that I really needed)
Gold Regal
Tokudama Flavocircinalis (Hope I spelled that right)

They are soaking as we speak.
Thank you so very much Dave, I really needed something to bring a smile.
And thankyou Lelan for hosting this swap. I have missed it.
Linda

Linda,
A couple notes I didn't have time to write:
The Twister was mailed to me out of the blue by Marvelous Marlys (Marlys Anderson) a few years ago, she has since passed on as you may know, almost 2 years ago.
I guess I must have admired it while I was with her one convention and it just showed up months or maybe a year later. I had no recollection of it though and I has to ask her why she sent it!
Parky's Prize and Sweet Home Chicago are reverse sports of each other and both are sports of Birchwood Parky's Gold, so you now have a 'complete' sport family there.
Change of Tradition is a very good grower, shiny and dark, I got it from Peter Ruh I think, early in my collecting days. Easy to divide, I have it in many places in my yard, even a mini trough we tried but it quickly outgrew the rest of the trough so we had to take it out.
The last two are pretty small but I divided those plants last spring a year ago and they seem to be growing slow but strong ('Tok Flavo' and Gold Regal). They were suffering tree root competition so they had self divided.
I'm sure you will like these, the stories just make them more interesting.
