English Sunrise
This is one Hosta I never have trouble recognizing. I always see the leaf colour as a frosty gold....sounds a bit like an oxymoron I know. I like it planted next to purple sedum.
Re: English Sunrise
English Sunrise was one of my earlier hosta. It hasn't developed much - too much tree root competition and not enough sun. I have a group of Halcyon types in the same predicament and I keep saying I have to move them but never get to it.

Here it is in 2010. And in 2012: And late in 2009 when it went into flower:

Re: English Sunrise
I really like this one, and Anita yours looks great with purple sedum. We have some purple sedum growing with Fat Cat that also makes a really nice contrast
Hosta 'May' is another solid yellow sport of Hosta 'June' and it seems to have a little more blue wax on it. Both May and English Sunrise color best for me with some direct sunlight.

Here is my same plant from 2010. I think between the tree roots and voles it's been tough competition. It is in a basket now.
I have been trying to ID a small plant in another garden and I'm thinking it may be a piece of this plant. I need to pay attention to what it does during the season.
