Hosta of the Day - Dragon's Eye

Post by redcrx »

Dragon's Eye is a medium sized dark green plant that looks like Riptide its pod parent.

There is some difference in spelling. The Hosta Library and the MyHostas Database call it Dragon Eyes. The Hosta Registry has Dragon's Eye.

The flower scapes on the left are from Miss Linda Smith.

Dragon's Eye is one of my favorites (though aren't they all?). Here it is 7/29/2015 after a bit of rain we had:

Dragon's Eye is looking a little smaller this year, likely due to shrub root competition.
