I have had this plant since 2010. It's getting engulfed by the clausa normalis next to it.

Re: Hosta of the day - Get Nekkid
Does it set seed, Ed? You can sure tell its heritage from the pistil type, very yingeri/laevigata-like. Yes, clausa var normalis does tend to run, doesn't it, I tolerate it because I love the colour of the flowers on it, but much prefer to grow it in a container for that reason.
Re: Hosta of the day - Get Nekkid
I think any type of clausa will run. I have the closed version and I've removed it from the places where it really likes to grow and grow it in spots where nothings else will and it does fine.

I don't remember seeing pods but I will check this season.
I have clausa in another part of the garden and it is starting to run but it has more space since the voles took out some around it a couple of years ago.
