Hosta of the Day - Winter Snow

Post by redcrx »

Winter Snow is a white edged sport of Sum and Substance.

I have had Winter Snow in my garden for many years and to me the color seems to standout more than the original Sum and Substance. Maybe it's the contrast with the bright white edge that make the center color seems brighter. I don't have them planted side-by-side to see if there really is a difference.

Here is my newest one.

I have Winter Snow in 3 places in the gardens.

Here is the oldest and smallest - probably now enough light and too much tree root competition.
